St Neots Riverside Miniature Railway
Premier Precision has been delighted to be involved in the track extension project at Riverside Miniature Railway in St Neots. Working closely with the railway we machined integral parts for the 3 new sets of points that will form part of the track extension project.
The project will run from 2022 onwards until completion. This will see the track double in size bringing more fun and opportunity to the community. Operating the trains and developing the site is undertaken by volunteers.
Riverside Miniature Railway is being constructed as a ground level combined 5″ and 7 1/4″ gauge railway using battery, petrol and steam locomotives.
The track extension project is marked in “Red” in the picture below with the existing track shown in blue.
The railway opens to the public on Sunday afternoons throughout the summer season from Easter to October and Wednesday’s throughout the Cambridgeshire school summer holiday.
Visitors are welcome to bring locomotives along, by prior arrangement on operating, gala or member running days.
